MN16 - original Magic for the Nikon 16mm fisheye

The MN16 is an original Magic filter designed to fit into the circular filter holder on the rear on the Nikon 16mm Fisheye lens. This filter will also fit on the rear on Nikon's old AIS 15mm lens. This circular filter measures approximately 26mm in diameter. Although the 16mm lens was designed for 35mm film frame size - it is an excellent lens on a digital SLR - and is Alex and Peter's favourite lens for reef filter photography.

(Note colour of filter, above, is not necassarily accurate)

As this filter is made from the original Magic formula the photographer must set the white balance manually (using PRE - preset WB) every time they change depth by a few metres during the dive. This is easy to do and takes just a few seconds on Nikon's newer DSLRs like the D70, D80, D200 and D2X.
This filter is designed specifically to work with the white balance of a modern digital camera in blue to blue-green waters.

A single MN16 costs £22 and a pack of three filters costs £35.

Magic filters are designed for available light underwater photography. The original Magic works from the surface down to 15m (50ft), although many users are very happy with the results of this filter down to 20m (65ft).
All our filters are optical quality polyester gels, manufactured for us, to our recipes, by one of the world's leading filter companies. All Magic filters are supplied with detailed instructions.
