Shooting Video With Magic Filters

Magic Filters are ideal for shooting video as well as stills. Whether you use a video camera, a compact camera or a modern DSLR camera with video capability. Using filters for video has all the same advantages it does for still pictures, particularly producing richer blue backgrounds in shots, while at the same time revealing colourful and detailed foregrounds (see here for more details). Also Magic filters are the only UW filters that can be fitted to the popular fisheye lenses used nin DSLR photography and videography.

The rules of video are similar to that with stills. The most important being make sure you pay attention to the direction of light. It is importat to have the light coming over your shoulder illuminating the scene you are filming for the best colours. Then it is important to shoot sequences, that can be edited together to tell a visual story. Avoid the trap of just shooting a great clip. Below are some example videos shot with Magic filters on a variety of different cameras, to give you an idea. Most were filmed by Peter.
